About the event

Taitaja2016 event in Seinäjoki, Finland, 10-12 May 2016.

Taitaja is the largest annual vocational education event in Finland. Taitaja attracts over 40,000 visitors to take part in the event, which is held by different VET schools each year. In May 2016 the competition is held in Seinäjoki by Seinäjoki Joint Municipal Authority of Education Sedu.

The purpose of Taitaja skills competition is to promote vocational education, improve co-operation between working life and vocational education and to increase people’s awareness and appreciation of various occupations and professional skills. The event will host three different competitions, which are the National Skills Competition for VET students, as well as ”Taitaja9” and ”TaitajaPLUS” competitions.

The event also presents career opportunities and encourages young people to improve their vocational skills. For companies the event provides an excellent opportunity to meet the top experts in their line of business.
